authentic stagecoach inn, built around 1836, has survived from the period
when Lumpkin was a frontier town.
Carefully restored and beautifully furnished with period antiques, the Bedingfield Inn is open daily except major holidays. Admission,
which includes a guided tour, is $5.00 per adult and $2.00 per child.

for the 36th annual Fair on the Square, October 18, 2008, located
on Lumpkin's historic town square. The Fair will be held in conjunction with Westville's Fair of 1850, which draws thousands of visitors to Lumpkin each fall. Ribbons will be awarded in both the arts and crafts divisions. Call (229) 838-4351 to request an exhibitor application. Seventh Annual Fair on the Square Bicycle Ride: Saturday, October 18, Lumpkin, GA. Routes for 08! (20, 50 miles & 100 kilometer) Enjoy these routes with historic country churches, bountiful farmland, and rolling hills. These loop rides follow winding pastoral roads through Green Grove Church and Providence Canyon State Park. For the more challenging 50-mile and 100- kilometer routes, continue from the canyon to Florence Saturday Marina State Park.These routes progress to the Louvale area and end with the festivities in Lumpkin. Rest stops with refreshments and sag wagons provided.
