The lithograph over the mantel is of Zachary Taylor by N. Currier, about 1850. Taylor was a hero of the war with Mexico and served as President of the U.S. during the early years of the Inn. The empire frame is a mahogany veneered on pine. The pattern of quilt is called "drunkard's path". The pine dresser has its original mirror. The spool bed represents a popular style of the era.
